WHAT IS INVISALIGN?
You may have heard or seen commercials for Invisalign already – but if you’re unfamiliar with the system, we’re happy to supply the details! Invisalign is the safe, easy, and relatively quick way to straighten teeth without the hassles and obvious visibility of traditional metal braces. Average treatment time for Invisalign is about a year, which is often half of the time it takes for their metal counterparts to do the trick.
WHAT’S THE TREATMENT PROCESS?
After scheduling a consultation with Dr. Lance, he’ll take digital x-rays for quick, precise images of your teeth, and with these, he will create a treatment plan that maps out the exact way your teeth will move, including a timeline so you know what to expect and when. Once you receive your custom clear aligners, you’ll wear them for at least 20 hours a day. Depending on your individual treatment plan, you may swap the aligners each week or every other week. A successful outcome will rely on your taking them out only to conduct your oral hygiene routine and eat – but the good news is that you don’t have to hold back from enjoying your favorite foods!
